About Me

Hello everyone and welcome to my website, Facebook friends, Tweeters and brand spanking new people. This is the bit where I have to talk about myself…….oh dear, anyway here goes.

Ever since I remember infact ever since I could wrap my little fingers around a pencil, pen or brush I’ve created. Every Saturday my pocket money was spent on a new drawing book and every Saturday it was full. In time I was fortunate enough to attend Lancaster College of Art and later The University of Central Lancashire where I studied Graphic Design and Fine Art.

Influences: I’m supposed to say Warhol and the like at this point and although he has influenced me I have to admit my earliest influences that stay with me to this day are comic book artists and illustrators. Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby. Jim Steranko, Alponse Mucha and Arthur Rackham all played their part, artists that just loved to illustrate the human form.

As a graphic designer I lent very heavily towards illustration and over the years I have illustrated for newspapers, childrens books, CDs and DVDs. All these graphic styles have led me to where I am now………..Pop Art.

I hope you enjoy this little offering of my work, feel free to get in touch if you’re interested in a piece or if you are a fellow/aspiring artist and would like some insight or advice. Always happy to support my fellow doodlers.

A final word from Pablo Picasso:

As far as I am concerned, a painting speaks for itself. What is the use of giving explanations, when all is said and done? A painter has only one language.
